Ice Breakers History
Nabisco began marketing Ice Breakers gum in December 1995, initially offering peppermint, spearmint, and cinnamon varieties. Hershey acquired the brand from Nabisco in 2000 as part of a larger purchase that also included Breath Savers, Bubble Yum, Carefree, and Fruit Stripe. Ice Breakers expanded from its original stick gum and mints to include ICE CUBES gum, which adopted its soft cube shape in 2006. Hershey continues producing Ice Breakers as part of its gum and mint portfolio.
